INFO ABOUT THE LODGE
Being strategically located in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, we offer excellent accommodations, good food, and breathtaking scenery during your rainforest adventure.
The 30km trip to the Lodge is two hours by boat, leaving from Puerto Maldonado and traveling down the Madre de Dios River.
The Lodge is rustically built from indigenous materials, and has 45 spacious and comfortable bungalows. Each bungalow has a bedroom with two beds and a second room with hammocks. Each bungalow has a private bathroom. Each room is fully enmeshed with an insect net to ensure insects cannot enter the bungalow.
There is a welcome reception at the lodge when you arrive. The Lodge has a large dining room and a relaxing bar where we serve exotic drinks. There is also a library and our special "room of mysteries" for shamanic sessions to cleanse your soul and bring you closer to the natural environment. Our Lodge is an ideal place for explorers, researchers, cameramen, birdwatchers, ornithologists, adventurers, and nature lovers of all kinds.

RAINFOREST EXCURSIONS:
Our rainforest excursions are exclusive to the ECOAMAZONIA LODGE. We offer our guests the opportunity to cohabitate with nature and hike into the deepest parts of the Amazon, including Monkey Island, the Lost Cocha, Lake Apu Victor, the Macaw Clay Lick, the Cave of Caimans, and special night walks into the jungle, as well as other interesting excursions to places like the Gamitana and Briolo rivers. Extended excursions to Lake Sandoval and the Macaw Clay Lick in the Manu National Park are also available to our guests.
HEY, IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE
You will leave very early in the morning, in order to fully enjoy all the wildlife the jungle offers. Animals and birds tend to move about early in the morning (5:00am to 11:00am) and then again in the afternoon (3:30pm to 6:00pm).
For your walks you should bring: Binoculars, camera, raincoat, water, long sleeve shirt, long pants, insect repellent, trekking boots (rubber boots are sometimes recommended - consult your guide), a flashlight, snacks (fruits are available at the lodge), and a hat.
The hikes are generally long and the humidity and heat can easily make you tired, although most reasonably fit people can fully enjoy all that we offer.
As you explore the virgin rainforest, you will find fallen trees and huge roots along the way, as well as rustic bridges crossing small, pristine rivers.
The ECOAMAZONIA LODGE staff is devoted to making your rainforest adventure enjoyable and safe.
