As you sail, you will enter the "Kingdom of the Giant Trees" so called because of the size some found species reach, among them the "Lupuna" or Ceiba tree. This is an ideal place for birds since the fish found in the river and the fruit from plants that grow on its banks are their main source of feeding; also, the thick forest offers the best possibilities for nesting. With a bit of luck, you may spot monkeys moving along the high tree tops or a sloth or "pelejo" hanging form a branch, mimetising and thus making itself almost unseen.
